[ Other - Hardware ] Open Question : Hard drive rewrite problems?

Hi
Im sold my external hard drive and am really worried now that the person might still be able to extract files from it? I formatted it and used SystemKillDisc software http://www.killdisk.com/ I did one Pass for the free version but wouldn’t allow one files C:Drive to over write. Its already been sold but even do the Pas took 12 hrs and it seemed to have wiped out the partition, could this person still extract my files, has some bank files on there hence my concern
